A Big Leap Forward in Technology
With great excitement ahead of CES 2024, 3M is introducing the world's first self-charging protective communications headset. This product differs from anything you have seen before through its ability to convert both natural and artificial light into clean, continuous energy, enabling a revolution in the world of workplace communication.
A New Era for Power Supply
This headset is a milestone for sustainable technology, significantly reducing the reliance on disposable batteries. The headset uses Powerfoyle™, a patented solar cell technology, which continuously charges its built-in lithium-ion battery. This means the headset is always charged and ready for use.
3M's collaboration with the Swedish tech company Exeger has been crucial in optimising the Powerfoyle technology. Exeger's manufacturing of Powerfoyle runs entirely on clean energy
Innovative Design and Function
Peter Berghamn of 3M PELTOR explains that the advanced engineering and materials science in this headset represent a perfect balance between performance, design, protection and sustainability. With more than 70 years of experience in communications technology, 3M™ PELTOR™ has taken a big step forward to meet the needs of modern workplaces.
Ease of Use
The headset is not only impressive for its charging technology. It offers Bluetooth connectivity, a noise-cancelling microphone for clear communication even in noisy environments, and the PTL (Push-to-Listen) function, which lets the user hear their surroundings without taking off the headset. Users can easily adjust the settings with the headset's buttons while wearing gloves, and receive voice confirmation of the changes without having to remove the hearing protection.
