Unlisted company
Hasko Invest AB (publ) is a Swedish investment company with a Nordic focus that acquires and develops highly profitable, niche-leading product companies. The company was founded in 2021 by Carlos Lorente, Per Eriksson and Joakim Tengzelius, with its head office on Norrlandsgatan in Stockholm. The parent company acts as a holding company without operations of its own, while operational management is conducted through the subsidiary Hasko Midco AB and the companies’ own management teams. Operations are conducted in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
The acquisition model
Hasko’s business model is to acquire majority stakes in established, profitable companies in product-oriented niches – typically family- or entrepreneur-owned businesses characterised by a strong market position, stable cash flows and structurally high operating margins. Acquisitions are preferably conducted through bilateral processes, and sellers are often expected to reinvest and remain as operationally active co-owners. Hasko consolidates all subsidiaries at 100 percent, and supplementary acquisitions are continuously governed by call and put options with the minority shareholders.
The portfolio
The Group’s portfolio comprises a number of independently operated companies in various product-oriented niches, including packaging, industrial trade, medical technology and specialised B2B trade. The subsidiaries operate under their own brands and retain their local management, while Hasko contributes strategic support, financial resources and a network of experienced operators and industry specialists. The approach is one of ‘permanent ownership’ without a divestment agenda, enabling long-term decisions regarding investments, product development and add-on acquisitions at company level.
Revenue and financing
Revenue streams consist of the subsidiaries’ sales of products and services to corporate customers and consumers within their respective niches. Growth is driven by two complementary engines: organic growth in existing companies through product development and market expansion, as well as new acquisitions of companies that meet Hasko’s criteria. Operations are financed through equity, bank loans – including central loan financing with Swedbank – and reinvestment by sellers. The high cash conversion and low net interest-bearing debt provide the capacity to act selectively and with discipline in the acquisition market without substantial external capital injections.
