Exeger and Yecon unveil world’s first self-charging 10-Inch ePaper photo frame at IFA Berlin

Berlin & Stockholm, 4 September 2025 – Sweden's Exeger, the developer behind the solar cell technology Powerfoyle™, and the electronics manufacturer Yecon present a 10-inch ePaper photo frame powered by Powerfoyle at IFA 2025 (stand H25-102).

The new frame makes it possible to change pictures via a mobile app – by season, holiday or mood – entirely without cables or manual charging. Thanks to E Ink Spectra™ 10 colour ePaper, images are displayed in high resolution on a paper-like, glare-free surface that does not emit light and is therefore easy on the eyes even in low light. The screen only draws power when the picture changes and keeps the latest picture even when the battery is drained.

Benefits:
• Solar powered: Powerfoyle converts both indoor and outdoor light into unlimited clean energy.
• Easy personalisation: Change pictures at any time via the app.
• Eye-friendly viewing: Paper-like, glare-free colour display without backlighting.
• Extremely low power consumption: Energy is used only when the picture is updated.

"Yecon's design combined with our Powerfoyle technology makes this photo frame a product for the next generation," says Georgios Foufas, CCO at Exeger.
"Consumers are asking for smart, green solutions – our ePaper frame with Powerfoyle delivers both," adds Aaron Chen, VP Sales at Yecon.

Exeger develops the solar cell material Powerfoyle, which can be integrated into electronic products to extend or completely eliminate the need for charging. Yecon, founded in 2003 in Shenzhen, is a global supplier of digital photo frames and smart display products.
