Swedish company Dirac is expanding its collaboration with London-based Nothing as the newly launched wireless earbuds CMF Buds 2 become the fourth model in the CMF series with Dirac Opteo™, the company's premium solution for digital sound optimisation.
CMF Buds, CMF Buds 2a and CMF Buds Pro 2 have previously integrated Dirac's smart acoustics technology. Through the collaboration, Nothing can offer high-resolution sound with clarity, balance and rich detail – just as the artist intended.
“CMF Buds 2 delivers premium sound that can compete with considerably more expensive alternatives. Dirac Opteo optimises the sound in real time and provides a rich, natural soundstage,” says Fredric Tapper, Head of Business Development at Dirac.
Dirac Opteo corrects impulse and frequency response directly, which delivers deeper bass and clearer sound regardless of the hardware's physical limitations.
Andrew Freshwater, Head of Marketing at Nothing, adds: “With Dirac Opteo, users get crystal-clear sound in a product format that is both stylish and accessible.”
CMF Buds 2 also features 48 dB hybrid active noise cancellation, six microphones with Clear Voice Technology 3.0, spatial audio, Ultra Bass Technology 2.0 and 11 mm custom drivers. Battery life is up to 13.5 hours per charge – and up to 55 hours with the charging case – in a durable design with an IP55 rating.
Nothing, founded in 2020, has sold over 9 million units globally and has built up an ecosystem of mobile and audio products that combine groundbreaking design with a focus on sustainability.
