The SHINE study published in the Lancet family

SHINE was published in the second quarter in eClinicalMedicine, part of The Lancet Discovery Science. The study is randomised, double-blind and placebo-controlled with 318 participants at 27 clinics in three European countries – the most extensive clinical evaluation of SiPore® to date. The publication provides an independent, peer-reviewed reference point to rely on in the regulatory work and in discussions with potential partners.

CE marking is on schedule

The technical file of more than 400 documents has been reviewed by the notified body Intertek, with no objections in principle in the first round of feedback. The company states that the process is on track: submission before 30 June 2026, CE marking in February–March 2027 and claims for blood sugar and weight control.

The second half of the year

Manufacturing is now in place in both Europe and the US, production economics have improved and the next generation of SiPore® material is under development. Partner dialogues broadened during the quarter to more geographies and areas of application. The company's priorities for the rest of the year:

  • CE marking via the MDR programme
  • Commercial growth for Carb Fence™ in the US
  • A faster pace in the healthcare provider channel
  • Continued partner dialogues
  • Further development of the SiPore® platform
