Sales and commercial build-up
Sales in Sweden and the US increased 97 per cent compared with Q1 2025 and 7 per cent compared with Q4 2025. Direct-to-consumer (DTC) accounted for 77 per cent of total sales. The wholesale and practitioner channel was still in an early launch phase, in line with the soft launch carried out during the quarter. Matthew Major took up the role of Head of U.S. Practitioner and Wholesale Division, and an HCP webinar on 25 February brought together 145 healthcare professionals in metabolic health.
Strategic pivot towards a technology model
The board approved a strategic pivot towards a clearer technology model built around SiPore and its mechanism of action. Metabolic health is confirmed as the company's leading application and primary value-creating track in the short term; adjacent verticals can increasingly demonstrate the technology's broader potential.
Science and regulatory
The company received first-round reviewer comments on the SHINE manuscript without any show-stoppers being identified — responses have been submitted. The notified body also provided first-round feedback on the EU MDR technical file with no red flags on intended use or key technical issues.
Partnership — oral health
The oral health collaboration got under way operationally on 29 January, following the out-licensing agreement signed in late 2025. It is the first formal out-licensing to an adjacent vertical and serves as external validation of the SiPore technology's broader relevance and transferability.
After the end of the quarter
CarbFence reached the US market in April 2026, after the end of the quarter. It is the company's first medical food product available in the US.
