What the company does
Sigicom develops, manufactures and sells the INFRA system: wireless sensors and data loggers that measure vibrations, noise and other environmental disturbances, such as airborne particles. The instruments are connected to the web-based service INFRA Net, where the customer administers projects, receives alarms when limit values are exceeded and generates reports. Both the hardware and the software are developed in-house — the company owns the whole chain from sensor to report.
The customers are measurement consultants, contractors, mining and quarrying companies and infrastructure owners, with published projects with COWI, Boliden and Efterklang, among others.
Characteristics of Sigicom
- Recurring service revenue. Revenue is split into goods and services — rental of measuring equipment, access to INFRA Net, and calibration, service and support. Since 2024, services have been the larger revenue type at group level.
- Structural demand. Requirements to document vibrations and noise during blasting, piling, tunnelling and heavy traffic. Europe is the largest market, followed by North and South America.
- Long-term ownership. The Rehnström/Svensson family holds 41 per cent of the shares and votes, and the investment company Traction has been an owner since 1997 with a seat on the board.
