Great interest in Germany as Svea Solar launches balcony solar panel

Together with IKEA Germany, Svea Solar is launching a modular balcony power plant with a battery that makes it easier for households and small businesses to produce their own electricity even without a roof of their own.

“Interest has been at a record high, with over 15,000 visits to our German website in the first two days and a lot of attention in the German media. It coincides with our fifth anniversary in Germany”, says Mattias Ringqvist, CEO of Svea Solar.

“The system is powerful, ready to use straight away and requires no complicated installation. For IKEA and Svea Solar it is important to offer solutions for every mounting situation – balcony, façade or flat roof”, says Taner Karacan, head of Svea Solar in Germany.

The system can be supplemented with energy storage, is compatible with solar panels, power stations and smart plug-in solutions, and can power even larger household appliances independently of the grid. The balcony power plant is now sold via Svea Solar's and IKEA's German websites.

Svea Solar and IKEA have worked together since 2019 and now offer solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, EV chargers – and balcony power plants.
