Eqvor announces that Viktor Sarström has taken up the position of Chief Technology Officer. Sarström, who started on Monday 3 August, joins most recently from Quartr and brings 22 years of experience as a developer and architect. He has also founded and built several companies of his own, and has his own experience of the unlisted market — as both a founder and a shareholder.
Viktor Sarström, CTO Since its launch in February 2025, Eqvor has established itself as a digital investment platform for unlisted shares, built around structure, transparency, data and liquidity. With Sarström on board, Eqvor is stepping up the technical development of the platform — the next step in its ambition to be the obvious place to trade unlisted shares.
Viktor Sarström has worked with systems development and architecture for 22 years. For the past four years he has led the architecture and backend work at Quartr, a financial data platform for institutional investors covering more than 14,500 listed companies. Before that he founded two companies, both of which were sold: the web and mobile agency We Made You Look (2011–2015) and the developer collective Evolve, which he co-founded in 2017 and which grew to more than 60 developers before it was acquired by AFRY in 2020.
In addition to his technical background, Sarström has his own experience of the unlisted market — he has sat on both sides himself, as a founder of companies that changed owners and as a shareholder in unlisted companies.
The appointment is part of Eqvor's continued investment in the platform. Trading in unlisted shares is still today largely manual and hard to get an overview of — a market at an early stage of its digitalisation. That is the development Eqvor wants to drive, and with Sarström on board the technical work gains new momentum.
As CTO, Sarström leads Eqvor's technical development and is responsible for the platform's architecture, product development and continued scalability.
