Doktor.se – Criticism, response and a completed 250 MSEK funding round
Doktor.se has closed its latest funding round of 250 MSEK in total, with very strong interest. The issue was 2x oversubscribed, with over 80% of existing owners taking part. The capital will be used for new acquisitions, including in Germany, and for the launch of the private health service Aktivt Hälsa+ in partnership with Skandia and Söderberg & Partners, with sales starting at the end of November.
At the same time, the company is responding to a review by Region Stockholm (the regional authority responsible for healthcare in Stockholm) which claims that up to 60% of its digital care visits lack a basis for reimbursement. Doktor.se replies that the review is based on different interpretations compared with the region's own service Alltid Öppet, where similar ways of working are not questioned. The company stresses that all cases have been handled by licensed staff, in accordance with its agreement, and welcomes clearer national guidelines for digital care.
In DI's podcast Ett rikare liv, CEO Martin Lindman talks more about the round and future plans, responds to the criticism and confirms once again that a stock exchange listing is planned for autumn 2026.
