Products and services
Virtune offers a range of ETPs that provide investors with secure and convenient access to digital assets via trading platforms, in Sweden for example via Avanza and Nordnet. Virtune's products are 100% physically backed, which means that the corresponding crypto assets are stored at a custodian, in this case at Coinbase.
The company offers a total of 13 different ETPs listed on regulated markets such as Nasdaq Stockholm, Nasdaq Helsinki, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam and Börse Stuttgart. One example of a product is the Virtune Crypto Top 10 Index ETP, which offers exposure to up to ten leading cryptocurrencies. This product is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and is rebalanced monthly to reflect market developments, ensuring a diversified portfolio.
Business model and revenue streams
Virtune generates revenue primarily through management fees associated with its exchange-traded products (ETPs). Virtune does not charge brokerage or exchange fees directly to investors; such fees may instead be charged by the trading platforms, such as Avanza and Nordnet, where the products are available.
Financial developments
Virtune launched its first ETP in May 2023 on Nasdaq Stockholm. A new share issue took place in Q1 2024 at a valuation of 34.91 SEK/share when the assets under management amounted to approximately 300 million SEK. Since then, the company's assets under management (AUM) have increased approximately 1000%, and the company announced that it reached profitability in the fourth quarter of 2024.
As of January 2025, Virtune has over 130,000 investors and manages capital of approximately SEK 3 billion.
Future plans
Virtune aims to strengthen its position as a leading European provider of regulated crypto investment products. The company plans to launch more products and expand its market presence in strategic regions.
